Pandemia has influenced all our project events. Due to the COVID-19, our event in Italy was postponed – from April 2020, as initially planned, it took place an year later – on October 21-22, 2021. The main aim of the public event was to foster knowledge on the beginning of the economic union, to provide data on expectations of the people at the time and explore the dreams and expectations of the 60s how far the Union will go. Being in Rome, the participants had the chance of re-reading the historic facts and to visit the Palazzo dei Conservatori (Campidoglio) where the Treaty was signed. The guided tour in the Palazzo dei Conservatori left unforgettable memories to all young people and citizens. In a deep and fruitful discussion in the premises of the University, all international participants and students commented on the different aspects of integration nowadays and marked the developments through the decades. The Rector of the University greeted the participants enthisizing that P. Jose Oyarzún the peace and the unity are the greatest achievement of the Union and we all are to value and secure them.  Within the plenary session, Prof. Alberto Garcia continue the topic, arguing on the Treaty of Rome 1957 – European common market, economic background, Human Rights, Values and Principles. Values and principles that unite Europe today and will stay for the future. Interesting interventions were provided by each project partner, sharing data from the country concerned – Spain, Portugal, Germany, Bulgaria and Italy. A photo exhibition on the Europe and Europeans (from the Archives collection of EU on Florence)  was opened for the academic and general public.
